Challenge
A signature proves an action — the real dispute is who performed it.
Conventional e-signing is envelope-centric: a document goes out as an email link, comes back signed, and the evidence is assembled later from context — a reachable inbox, an IP address, a timestamp. None of that is identity on its own. High-consequence work like NDAs, retainers, and diligence files needs proof that begins before access is granted and survives export — without the platform ever taking custody of anyone's identity documents.
Solution
We designed and built Clausign as an evidence-centric platform: expiring, watermarked share links with instant revoke; an NDA gate and optional no-custody KYC that must pass before protected files unlock; browser signing that captures consent and session; and deal rooms that keep the files, people, and activity of a transaction in one place.
Every step lands in a single defensible audit trail — verification result, timestamp, IP and device, SHA-256 document hash — exportable as one audit packet. Raw identity documents stay with the verification provider; Clausign keeps only the result, lowering data liability while strengthening the evidence.
